Description:
We offer you an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbo manufacturers that subjects its turbos to several qualification tests, which means you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, bearing load test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed, etc.
The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced and oil and water-cooled. There is still the older generation T series, which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT series in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important with ball bearing turbochargers that they do not get too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with 0.9mm bore is used in the oil feed. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400–500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing one. When choosing the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer’s homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All details such as turbine housing options, product description, performance map and drawings can be found there. Manufacturer informationGarrett
