    Description:
We offer genuine Garrett turbochargers. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be certain that the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, which means you always receive a top product. Among other tests, a 1,000-hour durability test is conducted on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series, which are mostly slide bearing. The GTX series differs from the regular GT series in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with multiple blades which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important with ball bearing turbochargers that they do not get too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9 mm bore is used at the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400-500 RPM earlier than a slide bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings can be found there.
