Description:
With us you get an original Garrett turbocharger. We obtain these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to several qualification tests, which means you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series, which are mostly plain bearings. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with several blades, which results in more power and slightly better response. It is important that the ball bearing turbochargers do not get too much oil pressure. That is why an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400-500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing turbo. If you have any questions about choosing the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's website http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All details such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings can be found there.
