Description:
We offer original Garrett turbochargers. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX Series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older Generation T Series, which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX Series differs from the normal GT in that it features a special, larger compressor wheel with several blades, resulting in more power and slightly better response. It is important with ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. For this reason, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used at the oil supply. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 rpm earlier than a sleeve bearing one.
