Description:
With us, you will receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, which means you always get a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett engineering lab, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series, which are usually plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the regular GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, resulting in more power and slightly better response. It is important that ball bearing turbochargers do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used in the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing turbo. If you have questions choosing the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's website http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All specifications such as exhaust housing options, product descriptions, performance map and drawings are available there.
