    Description:
    We supply original Garrett turbochargers. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour endurance test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed, etc.
     
    The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series; these are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, resulting in more power and slightly better response. It is important with the ball bearing turbochargers that they do not get too much oil pressure. For this reason an oil restrictor with a 0.9 mm bore is used at the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds approx. 400-500 rpm earlier than a journal bearing turbo.
